Maybe things are a little more interesting

So.... life passed me by and I didn't keep you posted.

My NASCAR drive was canceled due to weather - that was back in December. I have yet to schedule my zip around Texas Motor Speedway. Not sure what I am waiting for, I have wanted to do this for 10 years. I am possibly a chicken? Or just too damn busy. Look out for a post by the end of March on my adventure at TMS.

Wow... is it really February? I will do a quick run down of activities since I decided to do this blog... not sure now what I was thinking starting this. Now that my 6 year old has a blog - I am going to see if he will update my page when I get behind. Here is December/ January....

Christmas came and went - had everyone over for the festivities. Love to have the whole family here. Always makes me happy and they eat what I put on the table . . . that makes me even happier.

New Years was an uneventful night of Mexican Train and champagne. Well, the kids had sparkling cider or I am sure it would have been more eventful.

Birthday Weekend - Jan 4-6 - WELL.... let's just say I had the time of my life. Went to Austin to spend the weekend with my sisters. Wes and mom in law took on kid duty so I could get away. Keri's B-day is the 5th, mine is the 4th.
Friday -Enjoyed some Greek food and time with my sisters and friends - turned in early to rest up for the remainder of the weekend.
Saturday - woke up early and went for a stroll around the state capitol, had an awesome breakfast in San Marcos with K&E, spent the day shopping, the night with Keri, Kim, mom and a gang of friends eating and drinking... and drinking.... Thank you to Todd and Joe and everyone else for keeping both of my hands occupied with drinks so I would not lose my balance. VERY thoughtful. Much appreciated.
Sunday - Enjoyed watching everyone else eat breakfast... took an hour to eat a banana - ask mom - she watched me with a pained look on her face. Loaded up the car and went for one last stroll around the capitol grounds and headed North to home.
For those that don't know - I moved here from Austin in 1996. I have missed Austin everyday that I have lived in the DFW area. I lived there for just over a year. I think a lot of that has to do with missing my sisters who both live outside of Austin, but I miss the area too.
Sunday was also my mom in laws bday and Monday being Wes' bday - we had a birthday dinner Sunday afternoon at my mom in laws. Lovely dinner and a nice way to end the weekend.

Wes, the kids and mom in law spent a long weekend at Great Wolf Lodge over the MLK Day Holiday weekend. I had to work Monday and Tuesday, but did get to stay long enough to have a spa treatment and see that the kids were going to have more fun here than I would. Great family place - and to get to wear a swimsuit in January - can't beat it. Although I would rather be on a warm beach with a margarita in hand than a crazed indoor water park . . . beggars can't be choosers - right?

Here is a shot of the incredible spectacle that is Great Wolf Lodge.

Did get to go to Austin one more time the last week of January - got to work with one of my new favorite people - Susy. We got work done and had fun! Also got to have a lovely dinner with my sisters, nephew, brother in law, Kim S and Mario.
Here is a picture of Eric, self and Mario.

That my lovelies .... is all she wrote. I feel somewhat caught up and see that your eyes are sufficiently glazed over. I will learn how to post pictures so you can at least have something to look at. (I figured it out!!! Now you have photos to break up the monotony of the monotony...) Will try to update more often so it isn't so brutal. I may have my 6 year old transcribe next time.
